That is to say, the rainfall in the range of 0.1 mm to 9.9 mm in 24 hours is light rain. It is moderate rain if the rainfall is between 10.0 mm and 24.9 mm in 24 hours. Heavy rain refers to the rainfall between 25.0 mm and 49.9 mm in 24 hours. Heavy rain refers to rainfall ranging from 50.0 mm to 99.9 mm in 24 hours. Rainfall between 100.0 mm and 249.9 mm within 24 hours is called a heavy rainstorm. Rainfall of 250.0 mm or more within 24 hours becomes an extremely heavy rainstorm.
