Water scarcity is a global challenge that affects agriculture, among other sectors. Agricultural practices consume around 70% of the world’s freshwater resources – it makes sense to improve water-use efficiency in farming. Traditional irrigation methods rely on visual inspection of soil moisture levels and manual valves to control irrigation cycles, leading to overwatering and water wastage. Intelligent irrigation systems offer an innovative way to optimize water usage in agriculture while maximizing crop yields.
